What do you need from me to get started?

There's only a few things we'll need from you to get started:

 Approving a read-only bank connection inside your accounting package. We can't start without it.

 Giving 1st Money access to your QuickBooks, Xero, or Zoho Books accounting package.

 Signing a short declaration.

 Paying for your first month.

After that we'll ask you a few questions about how your business runs.

Checks: Before your bookkeeping starts:

• We verify your business and the people who own or control it.
• Your authorised person signs a declaration that the business doesn't operate in any industry we don't serve.
• If you're in one of the sectors that needs extra checks, we do those first.

If anything changes later, like registering for VAT or opening another account, let us know.

Why we check: These checks are for our own credit, fraud, and sanctions risk, and we don't carry them out as a supervised business.
